Don Cooper was born November 1, 1924 in Monroe City,
Indiana. He was a resident of San Pedro, California for
sixty-two years. Don was a WWII veteran. He served with the
second armored division from Normandy to Berlin. He also
fought in the five European campaigns including the Battle of
the Bulge. Don worked as an excavating contractor on the Palos
Verdes Peninsula for fifty-five years. He is survived by his
wife, Helen; and his three children, Michael (Sharon), Donna
(Mike) and Diane. Don is also survived by seven grandchildren;
Andrew, Matthew, Rebecca, Rachel Cooper, and Rebecca, Emily
and Katharine Van Guilder. Funeral services will be held on
Friday, May 9, 2008, 11:00am at the Rolling Hills Covenant
Church North Chapel. Interment will follow at Green Hills
Memorial Park. Celebration will continue with family and good
friends at Ante's Restaurant in San Pedro.
