A well loved South Bay native and
friend to many, died December 30, 2008. Michael was born June
30, 1971 in Torrance. Michael was a self-taught artist. He
wrote poetry, loved animals and music, and enjoyed old school
classic television programs. Additionally, Michael had a
passion for cooking. Michael loved home and family, especially
his precious nephew, William Sage. He made friends wherever he
went and kept them forever. Michael is survived by his
parents, Karen and William Roth; sister, Robin Roth; nephew,
William Sage Rothberg; brother-in-law, David Berg;
grandmother, Helen Mikelson; and countless aunts, uncles,
cousins, treasured friends, and his beloved, Amy. Services
will be held Saturday, January 17 at 1:30 pm at the
Resurrection Lutheran Church, 330 Palos Verdes Blvd., Redondo
Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial
donation in Michael Roth's name to Save Pound Animals through
Rescue and Education (S.P.A.R.E), P.O. Box 5248, Palos Verdes
